OUR MISSION
Join us in raising awareness and funding for free colonoscopies.
The mission of Mike Check Yur Colon (MCYC) is to provide free screening colonoscopies and polyp removal for people ages 21 to 45. MCYC is a registered 501(c)(3) that was established in 2025 to eliminate the financial barriers for anyone in this age group seeking preventative Early Onset Colorectal Cancer screening, via a colonoscopy.
Early Onset Colorectal Cancer (EOCRC) is on the rise worldwide. There are 120,000,000 people(36%) in the United States alone between the ages of 18-45. These are the most productive years (in this age group)of life in our society.
Currently, if you are under the age of 45 and have health insurance, your insurance company will not pay for a preventative screening colonoscopy. Insurers will only pay for a colonoscopy if you have a family history of colon cancer and if you are experiencing symptoms, such as blood in stool or severe abdominal pain. Unfortunately, if you exhibit these symptoms, it can mean that you already have colorectal cancer. Colorectal cancer is 95% preventable.
A screening colonoscopy can detect and simultaneously remove polyps before they become cancerous. Presently, there is insufficient scientific data on polyp production for this age range.

OUR STORY
Vision and Goal
Our vision is to eradicate colorectal cancer for people between the ages of 21-25. To achieve this, we must raise $100 million to provide free colonoscopies and polyp removal for 58,000 to 85,000 individuals nationally between the ages of 21-45. Our goal of providing free colonoscopies for 58,000 – 85,000 individuals is specifically to produce a statistically significant trial study that identifies polyp production in this age group.
Other goals of MCYC are to educate young people on Early Onset Colorectal Cancer (EOCRC), and encourage them to get preventative screening colonoscopies. We believe this three-tiered strategy will enable the existing healthcare system to start implementing preventative practices as it pertains to colorectal cancer for 21-45 year-olds.
